Palm Beach International Boat Show, one of the five largest boat shows in the country keeps growing and getting better and better. The extended weekend was a smash hit for HYG of Florida, led by Larry Clark with Florida team, Ed Chapdelaine, Louis Dvorak, Bob Epstein, Monty Miller, and Skip Smith. This was the first show at Palm Beach showing in the Motoryacht section. The new Hampton 650 was sold during the first day of the show. Our other boat on display, the Hampton Euro 830 was also well-received.
The show also benefitted from the opening of Brightline, a high speed electric rail that connects Fort Lauderdale to West Palm Beach. Many visitors traveled via Brightline, enjoying the express train service that virtually halves the travel time and offers comfortable and clean seating. Beautiful and breezy weather kept visitors outside for longer and many returned aboard the Hamptons 3 or 4 times throughout the show.
Word spread quickly that the Hampton 650 had already sold, but people were eager to see her expansive interior and innovative new features, like the sunroof on the flybridge. Praise was consistent for the Hampton Euro 830, with visitors exclaiming, “I’ve never seen a Hampton like this!” The full-beam master stateroom was particularly popular, with its king-size walk around bed and ample storage.
