Get to know more about Geo:

How did you get involved in the marine industry? My first job, at barely 15, I lived with my aunt and uncle in Victoria for the summer at The Bosun’s Locker. I learned to splice lines, rig roller furlings, etc. That was it… I was hooked and I worked on boats all through college and never stopped.

What appeals to you about the service/operations side? Problem-solving and helping people. Using my over 35 years of experience to make yachting fun and appealing. To make what is complex into something straight-forward and user-friendly. It's fun to see peoples' faces when you make something work. I don’t know why, but that is what has made me smile since I was 15 years old.

What is your favorite thing to do in Seattle? Not surprising when I think about it, I associate Seattle with boats. I want to be around Lake Union, Fremont, Ballard, or Elliot Bay when I'm in Seattle. I know every inch of it. Put me downtown and I am lost.

Name a cruising destination on your bucket list: Kodiak, AK

What are you most looking forward to about working with HYG? The people and the products, definitely. I am so excited to be proud of the people and product I now work for. To have both and a position I am also proud of… Wow, I'm lucky!
