Even as daylight dwindles and the temperature drops, a festive spirit is alive in Seattle. One of our favorite events during the holiday season is The Christmas Ship Festival, which has been has been a tradition in the Pacific Northwest for over 60 years. The aptly named Spirit of Seattle, is the Official Christmas Ship, glistening with decorative bulbs. Carolers and choirs perform aboard and are broadcast to following boats. The parade also stops at different waterfront communities, where crowds gathered on the shore are treated to additional music. The festival kicks off on Saturday November 26 and continues almost daily until the grand finale on Saturday December 23.
