Named one of the Top 20 Parades in the World, the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade is not to be missed. Over 1 million people come out to watch the spectacle each year. It is Fort Lauderdale’s nautical version of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, traveling 12 miles down the Intracoastal Waterway. It takes about two and a half hours to view the entire procession from one location. Private boats, megayachts, showboats are all decorated and have celebrities, musical artists, and boating enthusiasts aboard. The event is televised and streamed online, so it is easy to watch from the comfort of your home. This year it will take place on December 9, 2017, beginning in the downtown area at 6:30 PM.
